Many of us have a book to schedule the hours and days of our lives. If you’re like me, it fills up quickly. And yet all calendars and planners, all the events of our lives are linked to one event— the birth of the Jewish Messiah. When this most important event happened, it didn’t appear in a daily scheduler; not Cesar’s, not Herod’s, not even Joseph’s. There was no room for it in anybody’s schedule or routine. Even in the inn, things were too busy. It took place outside the schedule. Bethlehem always happens outside their inn, outside the schedule, outside the busyness, outside the routine. Sometimes the most important events in life will not happen in our schedule, but outside of it; receiving the Lord, being touched by Him, being healed, changed, called, appointed, and sent out by Him. Find your blessing by stepping outside your schedule today. Come to the quiet, to the presence of the Lord. That’s how the age began and that’s when the most important work that God wills for your life will begin as well.
From Message #507 - In the Fullness of Time

    Scripture: Lam. 3:25–26

TODAY'S MISSION - Step outside your schedule today and spend time in the quiet presence of the Lord to begin the most important work.
