  Lighthouse Ministries Daily Prayer

  Dear Lord God,

   

  Thank You for this new day.

   

  Sometimes the world seems dark; problems abound and stress creeps in; please help me to see Your light...

   

  Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying,

  “I am the light of the world.

  He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness,

  but have the light of life.”

  John 8:12

   

  I want Your light to shine through me, as Jesus taught us...

   

  “You are the light of the world...Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

  Matthew 5:14-16

   

  When I face darkness, Your Word tells me that "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."

  Psalm 30:5

   

  I have hope in Your promise of joy which gives me strength for this day...

   

  ...for this day is holy to our Lord.

  Do not sorrow,

  for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

  Nehemiah 8:10

   

  Please show me how to walk in Your Light, that I will shine your light brightly wherever I go.

   

  Please give me joy and strength for this day.

   

  Please carry me when necessary, so that I may emerge victorious over the darkness and that I may be continually filled with Your joy and praise.

   

  I pray this in the joy-filled name of Jesus,

   

  Amen.
