Eric Eberhardy

Ordination

  • My name is Eric Eberhardy and I became ordained back in March earlier this year. I've been asked by people I work with and my family and friends "Why?" I haven't been able to give them a straight answer "I don't know," is what I usually tell them but now I'm starting to feel something. I want to learn more about "religion." I was raised Roman Catholic, my father went to Catholic grade school and my mother was raised in a Lutheran house hold; both going to the same public high school.  Now I don't agree with everything I was taught through my first communion and confirmation. I do believe through and through in a "higher being" and doing "what's right." But I have questions and want to start preaching through people. I've been looking for direction for some time now and don't know if I'm not listening or if "HE" is not explaining to me what I want to know. I have my first wedding in late September for a friend that I work with and another on New Years Day for a girl I work with at my other job which is a same sex marriage (which I'm kind of nervous about, but more on that later). Well I want to know more about religion in general not a specific classification because like I said I believe in doing what is right. Now I know I've kind of rambled and got off subject but I'm calling out to my brothers and sisters to help steer me in the right direction.

    Thank you!

Jack Kissir Eric, the most important thing in life is to continue to remind people that they are Loved. I come from a very harsh, rigid and judgmental religious background. I attended a Bible College and graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity degree. As time moved on,...  more
