Call to Duty / Call to Serve Sunday Sept. 26th 2010 I read a story about someone in the military and they trained him, along with the other men, to run out of their barracks to their post at the sound of a buzzer. Many times during dinner he had to drop everything and bolt to his post. He had been trained to respond to the call with immediate obedience. He was so well-trained that one day while on furlough, he ran out of a store when he heard a buzzer. When Jesus called His first followers, they had an immediacy in their response to His call. The call of these fishermen was abrupt. Yet “they immediately left their nets and followed Him” (
Mark 1:18). The author of this account, Mark, may have wanted to impress upon his readers the authority of Jesus. When He extended the call, these men jumped to obey because helping people enter the kingdom of God was a more compelling adventure and a grander vision than catching fish.
When Jesus issues a call to follow Him, He doesn’t want us to delay. He expects immediate obedience when it comes to telling others the good news. Bring someone the story of salvation today! Take action now or when he calls on you… Don’t wait, feel the energy (holy spirit) then step up and get to work.

We all at one time or another will have a calling from our lord and father in heaven, will you answer the call right away or will you wait. I have been on a long journey to get to the day that is now here, and its has been blessed and full of joy, an inter-peace like no other, however has been the toughest choice, the most work, biggest commitment anyone could ever make. By no means has it been easy, my life has been anything but easy and times are trying for everyone, I know this I see and hear it every day but there are so many of gods people that are there to help us along are way, If you feel moved to act then help support our mission anyway you can. I would like to thank you for reading and bless all those who have partnered, helped, and supported our efforts… May God Bless You…..
