Just watched the Lost tomb of Jesus. It was an interesting movie, an hour and a half long. But it comes to conclusions that I sort of doubt. For one the Ossuary Boxes were of Lime stone, found in 1980 in Talpiot during the construction of an apartment complex. Now Lime stone is a very soft substance, easy to carve in, stone can't be carbon dated, but can be identified. By the narrator's accord most Ossuary's did not have names carved on them. So "Jesus Son Of Joseph", "Maria", "Jose", "Mattha" (spelling), "Mariamn", "James son of Joseph brother of Jesus" and "Judah son of Jesus" would be very unlikely to have been recorded on the Ossuarys. 10 were found in all. The video says that 9 of the 10 made it into storage, the bones removed, and placed in a common grave. The James box went missing, and was later found in a private collection, and that debris collected from the box places it without a doubt as the tenth missing box. I don't doubt the finding of a tomb with 10 Ossuarys inside. I don't doubt the lost box being found later on. I do doubt the inscriptions. It is impossible to tell if the inscriptions were 2000 years old or 1 day old. The video does not say that. The video speculates that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene. It speculates Mary was the 13th Apostle, and that Mary is responsable for the spread of Christianity. It also claims that they had a son named Judah. That Judah was "The disciple whom he loved" and in John 19:26 "When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold, your son!"" That this really was telling Mary Magdalene to take their son and protect him, that it wasn't Jesus's Mother, but The Mother of his son he saw. This has got to be one of the most out there things I have seen. I'm not saying it isn't true, but I am saying that I am not entirely sure of the authenticity. If what they found was true, then I would say that it is a good chance their referances are correct. They say that the chance of finding a tomb with those names gathered would be 1 in 600,000. That each name individually would be common. So all and all I say the video was interesting, it was worth watching, but it just doesn't seem to prove enough to put any faith in, and perhaps even though not hard to believe, if they wouldn't have mentioned "Judah son of Jesus" It might of been easier to accept. I myself actually have some belief that Mary Magdalene and Jesus were probably close enough that they may have married and that they may have had children. But watching the video it is the final two minutes they dump the whopper, almost like oh yeah, and we found this too. I'll still recommend it, but will say don't place much faith into the supposed findings, I think it was made as a fanciful story.
I watched it on YouTube it should come up in a search. There are many multi parters, but the fourth page has one 1:28:35 with Arabic after it. Curious as to anyone elses thought who might have watched this.
