Veterans Poem
To the lives lost
To the lives lost
And the hearts won
To those in the background
And those behind the gun
To those that came home
And to those who stayed
To those who were called
To taste death that day
To those who are related
To family and friends
To those who were heart sick
When those reached their end
To say I am thankful just isn’t enough
I don’t know your life
But you must have been tough
So simply I say
To those that were true
Your service won’t be forgotten
Our freedoms are here because of you
