Multicultural Love Affairs
Keisha Merchant
What in the world happened? Yes, the melting pot has not only begun, but exploded. In our age we find the old wise sayings slowly disappearing that men and women could never have interracial relationships with one another. It is the idea that culture could not collaborate nor negotiate on common grounds with their diversity in love. It is love that was blind, found unconditional loving and love making as a special bond that exceed the normality of our social constructs of do’s and don’ts. It is not natural for our bodies to isolate ourselves from mingling with one another, fellowshipping one another in the playgrounds of life. It is love that gave liberation to men and women to find sexual appetites worthy of diversity and in that valuable experience orientations are created, interracial and cultural mixing is developed into a complex system of diversity and love. It is in my heart that we learn that the colors of life does not begin or end with black and white. In those shades we find all colors and absent of colors, but colors still remain the essence and beauty of all life. Therefore, we find that the multicultural love affairs will begin the new consciousness of peace, harmony and freedom of women and men giving guidance towards equality and equity of all paradise. It is in our access that we become user friendly components of love. It is in my mind that the “isms” of life may pass away or as a gallery of libraries, become a construct of experience and historical background of character and evolution of behavior and maturity.
I am in the process of learning what will it take to create a better world for my own people as a new culture of multicultural love affairs that was not denied access to unconditional love. It is within this grace that we find equality.
