So, we had a last minute meeting this evening, called by the founding members.
People are still at that point confused about what is required to make it an officially recognized Student Organization.
I have the beginnings of a constitution, an outline for an agenda of things we need to get taken care of over the course of how many weeks. I discussed ways in which we can do community outreach, and etc.
In the beginning, I had been told that we were being denied official'status because we were a non-Christian group... later I found out that no one had even tried. I was the one to go out and find the official channels and what forms need to be filed and what regulations need to be met.
I was the one who got us a room to meet in that was big enough for all of our members at once.
I built a facebook page and a facebook group.
And for all my work and initiative, they pretty much unanimously voted me secretary...........
I mean, I am honoured to be taking part at all. But, secretary? Really?
At least I'm having loads of fun and its an awesome opportunity to learn about other cultures and faith.
btw: Anyone can like the page http://www.facebook.com/SoAR.saumag should get you there. But, you have to be a student at the university to join the group.
