Christ is an av·a·tar/ˈavəˌtär/ A manifestation of a deity in bodily form on earth., An incarnation, embodiment, or manifestation of a person or idea: "he set himself up as a new avatar to all major religions to get them ready for his Crucifixion, which no one can take away". Whenever righteousness wanes and unrighteousness increases I send myself forth. For the protection of the good and for the destruction of evil, and for the establishment of righteousness, I come into being age after age.(Gita:4.7–8)
Christ Jesus, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness (Philippians 2,6-7).
That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;-) (Qur'an sura 4 (An-Nisa) ayah 157-158 ) The Qur'an is not here speaking about a man, righteous and wronged though he may be, but about the Word of God who was sent to earth and returned to God. Thus the denial of killing of Jesus is a denial of the power of men to vanquish and destroy the divine Word, which is forever victorious.
The Buddhists believe that the "Great Hero" avatar Christ is the Venerable Ascetic Mahavira was houseless, circumspect in his walking, circumspect in his speaking, circumspect in his begging, circumspect in his accepting (anything), in the carrying of his outfit and drinking vessel; circumspect in evacuating excrements, urine, saliva, mucus, and uncleanliness of the body; circumspect in his thoughts, circumspect in his words, circumspect in his acts; guarding his thoughts, guarding his words, guarding his acts, guarding his senses, guarding his chastity; without wrath, without pride, without deceit, without greed; calm, tranquil, composed, liberated, free from temptations, without egoism, without property; he had cut off all earthly ties, and was not stained by any worldliness: as water does not adhere to a copper vessel, or collyrium to mother of pearl (so sins found no place in him); his course was unobstructed like that of Life; like the firmament he wanted no support; like the wind he knew no obstacles; his heart was pure like the water (of rivers or tanks) in autumn; nothing could soil him like the leaf of a lotus; his senses were well protected like those of a tortoise; he was single and alone like the horn of a rhinoceros; he was free like a bird; he was always waking like the fabulous bird Bharundal, valorous like an elephant, strong like a bull, difficult to attack like a lion, steady and firm like Mount Mandara, deep like the ocean, mild like the moon, refulgent like the sun, pure like excellent gold'; like the earth he patiently bore everything; like a well-kindled fire he shone in his splendour. —(Kalpa Sutra 118)
Jesus Christ lived in India for more than 12 yrs. these are the lost years from 13 to 30, The Venerable Ascetic Mahavira for a year and a month wore clothes; after that time he walked about naked, and accepted the alms in the hollow of his hand. For more than twelve years the Venerable Ascetic Mahivira neglected his body and abandoned the care of it; he with equanimity bore, underwent, and suffered all pleasant or unpleasant occurrences arising from divine powers, men, or animals.—(Kalpa Sutra 117)
The Bible teaches that all the prophets give witness of Jesus Christ (ref. Acts 10:43). The following Jewish Messianic prophesies were made hundreds, sometimes thousands, of years before the Lord Jesus Christ was born. Jesus Christ is the only person who has ever walked this earth that has fulfilled these prophesies.
(Psalms 2:12) Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. (Proverbs 30:4) ...who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? (Isaiah 7:14) Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.(Isaiah 9:6-7) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Looking for anyone else to fulfill these prophecies is an exercise in futility--a dangerous one because if you die in this deception, you will have no opportunity for recovery. Jesus Christ is the Messiah of Israel and he is the Son of David. From the time of the Old Testament, Israel was looking for her Messiah, and when he came, those that were ready found him. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Messiah/avatar of Israel, the anointed one and God manifested in the flesh. He came to earth to die for our sins so that we could be reconciled to God.
