I'm probably going to offend a good few people here, I apologize for you taking personal offense to something that is not directed specifically at you.
I want to talk about Cowardice, not the kind that finds its form in a comical lion, but the kind that cannot address a grievance to the correct party.
Let us look at a fictional case study to illustrate the point...
Meet Bill, Bill has a problem. That problem is Bill is an alcoholic and as a result he has spent much time in Jails and has hurt family and friends by his drinking.
Meet Tom, Tom also has a problem. Toms problem is he's arrogant and often uses his faith to (incorrectly) justify harsh treatment of persons he sees as "Sinners".
Now as you can imagine Bill and Tom cross paths in our little morality tale, with predictable results. Tom abuses Bill, making a bad situation worse when Tom indeed was in a position and capable of being a great help to Bill.
Bill, as you can imagine, is greatly hurt and justifiably angry about the way he has been treated. Bill responds by finding and attacking every little thing he can about Toms faith....
Whoa there Bill, you are being a Coward...
Toms faith didn't mistreat you, Tom did.
Tom and Tom alone is at fault here, and bares the blame for his actions and words.
Take your issues up with Tom, and leave the others who share his faith (but not his arrogance) out of it.
