If it were possible for us to all agree on a belief system that serves all of us well, satisfying our need to believe in an all-powerful god, a neutral belief system that is universally acceptable, then could we have peace?
Could we stop fighting because we can see that everyone is in our belief system and there is no enemy?
Could we become humanity as a family?
Our evolution is driving us toward making the leap from superstition to rationality. This is the true war, a struggle between the grasp of superstition and the beacon of knowledge. Scientific knowledge leads the way and it has numerous actual answers to help us understand metaphysical knowledge.
Reorientation to relevant science will win this war. It will dispel the mist of fear by providing security of knowledge. Relevant science offers a spectrum of discoveries that assemble into a much clearer world view, enough of a world view to comprise a new common belief system.
Scientists and metaphysicians alike propound a world view that is scientifically grounded and rationally required. We can create it entirely as a mental product so cost is not a big issue. Then we will all agree on most basic questions of life.
Call that peace.
