    Applicable Even Today

I do not know how many of you are old enough to remember Walter Cronkite and who he was, but for those of you who do not, he was the news anchor for CBS Evening News from 1962 till 1981, he was known as " the most trusted man in America"

I tell you this because he made a few statements that applied then, but really hit home today.

               1. "There is no such thing as a little freedom. Either you are all free, or you are not free."

               2. "In seeking truth you have to get both sides of a story." and finally
               3. "America’s health care system is neither healthy, caring, nor a system."

These three quotes bring to mind some interesting questions.

How many freedoms have we lost in the last 45 years, how often does anyone really look at both sides of the story, and if health care was in that much trouble back then? How many Republicans, Democrats, and Independents have been in office since then, promising to do something about it all the while pointing fingers at the other parties blaming them, all the while they themselves are unwilling to take any responsibility. It has actually gotten so bad that I'm expecting one of them to say, "The Devil Made Me Do It"

OOPS I guess I should not of said that!  Its my wife's fault, she did it! ( That's funny maybe I should run for office, I could blame everything on my wife.)
