I hear many of my fellow Americans today saying they just can not figure out what is wrong in the country.
We are a nation of well over 250 million people from all walks of life and cultures, different values and ideals, opinions vary like the grass in my front yard.
Our Senators and Representatives seem to line up along party lines, no matter what the merits are of any idea put before them, like two male deer squaring off against each other to fight for mating rights during breeding season. Let a mistake be made and they all look like deer running for their lives from a forest fire, all the while pointing fingers at the other party and unwilling to take any responsibility for it themselves, yet let something good happen and everyone of them are up front to take the credit for it.
The problem in this country was identified 2000 years ago when a carpenter said, KJV Mat 12:25 Every Kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.
I'm not saying Jesus was speaking of today, I'm saying the statement applies to today. I'm saying that until the American people can unite themselves enough to elect officials with the countries best interest at heart and remove those who do not, I believe we will stand only long enough to fall.
President Washington said," The marvel of all history is the patience with which men and women submit to burdens unnecessarily laid upon them by their governments."
This is my opinion and does not reflect the opinion of the ULC, or its members.
