I took a stroll outside today in the early morning sunshine,
Thinking as I walked along, how all about me felt so fine.
I came upon a threatening cloud, it meant to ruin my day.
A little rain may fall sometime but soon will go away.
I packed a special picnic lunch; I packed it just for you.
An act of kindness, a smile, a nod, and a dash of howdy-do.
These things will fill you up; they'll make you feel alright.
They’ll take you through the toughest day, and keep you through the night.
There are lots of hungry people, in this big world where we live.
They're starving for an act of love, that's something everyone can give.
So pack a lunch of sunshine, and pass it out today.
Feed it to the folks you meet, while traveling on your way.
So let us all pack lunches; with selfless acts of peace and love.
It doesn't cost a fortune and will cause the sun to shine above.
Hand out all the things you pack to every hungry soul you meet.
