Blades flash; dancing in sunlight
Thunderous hum signifies flight,
Colors constantly changing,
Red, yellow, blue, and green, changing with the light.
Up drafting and whirling faster than sight.
Diving and clicking left and right,
Never at rest always in motion;
Feeding on the nectar so very far below.
When do you sleep? Where do you rest?
Sleep interrupted is ever the story.
Heartbeat’s a flutter of blurred sound.
Where will you be at the end of your journey?
Where will your rest be found?
