I just performed my first wedding last month and enjoyed it tremendously. My nerves settled the minute I saw the bride walking down the aisle; and throughout the service, I felt a great rapport with the couple, who later expressed delight in the service.
Now I am looking to find other ministers in my area who could use my services as an ordained minister to handle any of their overload (scheduling or logistical conflicts) or to fill in in an emergency. I would also like to know other ordained ministers so that I might call upon in the same situations. Is there already a network set up for this type of thing? Does anyone have any suggestions for how I might go about this?
Also, I would be very much interested in knowing if there are any sources for samples of various ceremonies compiled in one place which, in your experiences, you have found to be more (or any to be less) helpful than others?
if you have any tips for me on how to make my services available to couples and other ministers (advertising, etc), or how to enhance the services I have to offer as I embark upon this new ministry, I would be most grateful for the benefit of your greater experience.
Thank you very much,
