And there - on his ship is Odysseus
He must choose to sail near the
Six-headed monster Scylla or –
Near the whirlpool Charybdis in order to reach Ithaca
In his maelstrom they converge
To form a shape of an elliptical
Orbit, from which I return
Again and again to his origin
Amid the compressing sound of metal
Collapsing onto itself
Chaos ceased to be chaos
A perverted unity of sound and fury
Condensed to form a monument
Of twisted metal
You fell, there beyond the horizon
From high places onto low places
And as the sun passed overhead
Past countless trees, valleys, and rivers
We breathe again, knowing that
Another sun would rise and proclaim
That your journey had ended
