Recently I moved books from one room to another. One cannot sort books (plenty of them at my home) without taking a few out, opening them and realizing you never finished or never read them.
Cesar Millan's the " Dog Whisperer" 's BE THE PACK LEADER was one of those. I guess I was missing my Dog A Beagle Kelly a lot these days (she passed 2 1/2 years ago). Nevertheless I did what I always do first -- looked at the dedication page and acknowledgements to see if this man was able to name at least one woman in his life who made him who he is today. Boy was I shocked. HE NAMED US ALL ! That's right ! Listen to this from his Acknowledgements:
" I believe that women hold the key to helping us put our world back into balance. But they can't do that until men truly acknowledge and honor the unique wisdom...women have to offer...women seem to...know that leadership doesn't mean pitting one person, country or religion against another...Women are more likely to act for the good of the pack...I am here to live every moment to the fullest; to fulfill my own life and to help fulfill everybody else around me...honesty, integrity, consistency and loyalty..."
What a wonderful way to honor the unique contribution that women make and need to make more of in society.
What do you think?
Trainer Millan says " I have seen more compassion from women in my life than I have seen from men. "
Is this true to some degree or is there something else going on?
