TODAY IS ELECTION DAY. Today many will go to the polls to spend their ONE VOTE.
When those votes are counted and the polls close what we do afterwards counts just as much as what we did in the voting booth.
In her book, Earth Medicine, Jamie Sams, Native American writer summarizes tribal leadership as follows: " Leaders served through generosity of spirit and ability to listen and make wise decisions. No person was common--all were extraordinary. They led by example...authentically humble. " The greatest humility we can display to another is to LISTEN to them, to affirm that they are IMPORTANT and then to do what is RIGHT by them. Everyone deserves affirmative action and accomodation. Let us PRAY for our new LEADERS whomever the majority elects them to become lest they forget why we and CREATOR GOD put them there in the first place. " Do what is good for each other and ALL people.
