I tend not to think very highly of human nature in general. Left to their own devices, I think most people are inherently selfish, and can sometimes border on the savage if not get all the way there. I know a lot of people share the opposite view, that most people are good at heart. That's not been my observation, I guess. In any event, your point stands just fine--it's just a matter of which direction one comes at it from as to how you interpret it. less
