Before the system upgrade for the network, there were guidelines for posting provided for blogs, polls and groups which were prominently displayed for all ministers to see. Although we do not have a copy of those original guidelines, here is a sample guideline that we found on another site:
" Please use caution and good judgment when posting. What you write can be read by other people and become a permanent part of the record. Please also bear in mind that you can be held legally responsible for damages to someone's reputation if a court finds that your remarks are defamatory."
We would prefer to have guidelines reinstated here for all to see just as a reminder that while this open forum represents the opportunity to exercise free speech, there is an individual responsibility to be within commonly accepted legal and moral guidelines.
