Fidelity, faithfulness and wellness; these are words we don’t hear as often any more. AND WHY NOT…because they just aren’t happening. We take health classes full of people with broken relationships, we hire lawyers far too often to settle disputes with trumped up charges just to discredit or defame another so create a false advantage that crumbles in the end and our “fidelity” went out with the “high fidelity” stereos of the 50’s and 60’s encased inside furnishings meant to convey stability in our homes.
SO WHAT HAPPENED…mobility…upward mobility. In our quest to be ON THE MOVE it seems that we have lost something in America—a sense of belonging to something that has permanency (for longer than a week or month). What we have lost in the transition is our faith in the EVERLASTING—a key to our wholeness and wellness.
TODAY as we surf the net, enter chat rooms and even this website let us remember to recreate in our minds and hearts at the very least a place to call HOME by committing ourselves to seek and make again in our lives something that WILL LAST.
Make a daily phone call, write a daily e-mail, say hello to a shopkeeper whose name you get to know… become part of the solution to create UPWARD STABILITY in your life and in society once again…one day at a time…better and better every day.
