AN OPEN LETTER TO MY CHILDREN:
Thank you for being you TODAY and always! You are now adults and as I watched you grow out of the NEST that your parents created for you, as I STILL watch you try your wings at flying through all that is in the world, I have but one WISH and PRAYER for you TODAY—that the persecution your parents experienced at the hands of “religious” and “secular” people and organizations and that the “hypocrisy” which you observed in the houses and communities of “worship” we attended will NOT deter you from SEEKING GOD, THE CREATOR, THE GREAT I AM THAT I AM to be part of your life and to find LOVE in YOUR HEARTS every day so that you will recognize it when you FIND IT IN OTHERS.
GOD does NOT expect you to live under my covenant or my promises to the CREATOR. What God expects of you is something you will work out over time. I ask only ONE THING in exchange for all the time, effort, money and perseverance your parents put into raising you: BE FAITHFUL to that which sustained us as a FAMILY—FAITH in a power that is greater, stronger and more LOVING and PERFECT than any human being you will ever meet…even ME.
