PERSPECTIVES ON SENSITIVITY

  • This is my opinion: Any and ALL PERSONS who have posted on this site in any arena here are ENTITLED to their own beliefs/feelings. No need for ANY POSTER here to be overly sensitive about how someone else feels. We all own our feelings just as much as we own our personal beliefs. They are individually experienced and so no one is really in a position to tell us what we should or should not feel or believe, unless of course they have walked a mile in our shoes and can tell us truly how it feels from the other person's point of view. Perhaps this is why medical doctors as part of their scientific medical training are asked to give great weight in their diagnosis to the patient's "self-reporting".

Trying to tell another what they should or shouldn't believe or feel is like way too controlling and may indicate a need of the controller to have another person be who they want them to be, not who they really are. Again, that is my opinion and does not necessarily reflect the FEELINGS of others on this site.
