I'm having a debate with my girlfriend and I would just like a little outside feed back on it. I'm wondering is it wrong to take a innocent creature and turn them into a killer. My grlfriend feels it's a cat just being a cat. What do you think?
If a cat ate a cat it would be murder If I ate you it would be murder

But I must not be greedy and eat more than what I need. That is wrong in the heart and intentions of the Creator.

Everything outside of plant life that eats will have to take the life of the creature it needs to eat. Emotionally to think about that can create many feelings, those feelings are natural and normal.
There are no moral Implications in these actions.
These are indeed interesting things to think over, but they are not things to endlessly debate, for as much as there are a variety of people, there will always be a variety of opinions. While we are on our Journey in our walks with God, our first need is to always ensure that our eyes, those of the heart are turned toward Him. Di this, and bring your question about the Cat to God, and he will bring you an answer. It may not be an audible in your head answer, but if you remain open, and as devoted as you possibly can, you will find the answer.
As Mary mentioned, it is always good to give a prayer of thanks for our food, an... less

However we're not talking about an animal killing for food. My kitten eats dried kitten chow. He doesn't have to kill to survive. I am a Wiccan and I follow the Wiccan rede "If it harms none do as you will". I'm trying to live in complete harmony with the planet I live on. I hope one day my kitten will be my Familiar. So I'm wondering shouldn't he follow the same code as I do?

I have raised 3 children, 4 dogs, 3 birds, 7 cats, and upteen goldfish in my 50 + years. Animals, as I understand my teachings, follow instinct. Humans think of possibility. They have the power of true choice. When we do wrong, we know it is wrong through teaching. Sure you can punish or reward (behavior mod) any animal or mammel (human) and train them to do anything by controlling them. But we often say that when we are TOO controlling we CRUSH another's spirit. To eat too much meat would be greedy just as eating too many plants would also be greed I guess. Greed and murder are one in the same, I think. What about you, C.G.? less
