Stay in the present moment, and you can remove much of the blocks that stand in your way. The past is made only of memorie. The future is made only of illusion. The present moment is all that you have a physical presence in. You can't run from the demons of your past, as you can't foresee the future. To deal with life is to deal with the present. When you find yourself becoming angry or sad about memories of the past, stop and think "What good is this, how is this benefiting me?" The answer to this is it does no good and does not make anything better in the present. It may be a beautiful day to be alive. There may be wonders to experience.....rainfall, blue skys. wonderful friends, good food, music.....and we concentrate on things we cannot change, or have not even happened yet. We daydream about all kinds of future events, and let the moments slip by uselessly. Strive to live life in the present, and you will find much more enjoyment in everyday experiences. Not only will this help your present exhistance, but it will help you prepare for the work of understanding life as it happens, and preventing new blocks from forming. A great way to do this is through the practice of meditation. If you do not currently meditate, start. It is a great way to live in the moment,and, when done correctly, improve your ability to clear your mind of excessive thoughts. There are other ways to clear your mind such as rhythmic drumming, chanting, and yoga. Even walking and running can work to "clear your head". It is very important to live in the present.
