Everyday you hear horrible, morbid sories on the news. I watched the news on Saturday night and heard about this three year old girl who was abducted, raped, and murdered. All I was able to do was cry. Then you hear stories about people who run dog fighting rings. Then there's all those soldiers, young men and women who are dying in the Middle East; what are they dying for? President Bush said it was to protect our freedoms. Our freedoms weren't at stake. It was all about forcing our views on others. I have been told many times that due to my political views, I'm just a commie. Oh, well.
Now it's time to talk about Obama. Fox News says that he's a Socialist; mainstream Chritianity* say he's the Anti-Christ. My friends wish someone would assassinate him. I find it interesting that the majority of these statementsare made by white people. I myself respect the man. He's the first president that we had who isn't white. Other than that I need to watch him more to formulate an opinion on him.
Then there are those pretend Christians who can quote the bible so prettily, but are filled with hate aginst whose who are different from them; they hate people for being of a different race, different sexual preference, different religion. It makes me hurt when I encounter these bigots disguised as Christians.
*Edit: It's not mainstream Christianity. It's Fundamentalist Christianity.
