Why are we here? Perplexing question isn't it? Complicated as well perhaps.
If we think about it, we ask this of ouselves this quite often. For example, we get to the grocery, and suddenly.....Why am I here? We go to a party we really didn't want to go to ......and ask Why am I here?
That very same question can also be used as a lead in for an Oration. Why are we here> Well I'll tell you why you are here! you came here for Blah...Blah...Blah.....
Why did we go to the grocery? well to buy some food usually right? Why did we go to the Movie....Surely not to buy a suit... We went to see a Movie.. right?...
Soldiers, I'm sure ask themselves this question every day while on the battlefield. Why am I here? I will not even ponder to answer that one...Only for myself......
Now to the meat and spuds......Why Are We Here? Here, This Site.....The ULC......?
I'll Start......
I came here to the ULC for 2 reasons. One to become ordained to officiate weddings, secondly and most important is that I wanted to learn from others about their belief systems. I knew very little about Pagans, Hinduism, Islam etc... and wished to learn more through questions and discussions. To some extent I have learned a great deal. There are some here that are willing to share their thoughts and ideas willingly. And there are those who in my opinion are only here to incite negativity and chaos. When the return they receive is not what they wished to see, then the whole incitement turns to name calling and ridecule, condescension and Malice. Yet again, when it gets turned around....not so nice, is it? So, again, Why are we here?
Why are we here? Insightful conversation? I don't see a whole lot of that. The blogs that I see have some good interaction, others ...not so much. I see some saying that there is no interaction here, yet won't start any. I see some who come here trying to push their Beliefs on others......Really? ...No Thank You!..... I see interaction by very few, considering the number of Ministers on this site. Some pop in just to send out friend requests and offer nothing but a hello. Hi, my name is so an so, pleased to meet you, welcome ....Can we be friends...?? then you don't see them for weeks....only to see the same thing on their return......
So I ask anyone interested to actually share their OWN thoughts and opinions......WHY ARE WE HERE ?
