How I Hope to Raise My Children
I will raise them to believe in Jesus n the Christian faith n keep the 2 great commandments honor God, love everyone...
I will teach them not to lie n do so by not lying to them, Santa is real he is in each of us, the guy in red suit helps us remember what we should being doing, giving to others... Don't know about the Tooth Fairy, Cupid, or the Easter Bunny may try to them it is like cartoons got time to figure those out... When they ask about God n Jesus I will tell them I believe in them but I can't prove it to anyone else n that they should believe for time being n when they get older I want them to try to discover their own way to faith... Other reason for this also incase I marry a woman of a different faith or doesn't have a faith n want child to also follow wife's faith n when they get older they can chose their own path...
Some worry about child not being straight n becoming gay/lesbian but they don't become gay/lesbian/straight, it is what they are n know the bible doesn't support gay/lesbian but Jesus tells me not to judge n just love...
If my child is straight, gay, lesbian great I will love them; my child decides to believe in a different faith cool(except for a faith that has them cut off contact with me) or even if they decide they don't believe in any, I believe I do my best to show them a path to love n self discovery n hope they find the path thar they need to go on n not feel they are forced on one that they haven't decided on... Race, well I hope I raise my children that there isn't really different races just different shades of skin n that whatever shade of skins a person is they are as beautiful as they are n the shades of skin means nothing...
I will make it know to them that I love them totally n if their partner/friends are different shade of skin, faith, or sexual preference that is ok with me n they will always be welcome loved in my home as will their partner/friends...
I will not allow a partner of any of my children to raise a hand on my child even when they are an adult... I hope I raise my child to know love between people should never allow abuse of any kind... I will enroll my children into self-defense classes at the earliest age allowed to help them learn self-defense, self-confidence, how to stand up to bullies n to aid of tears that are bullied...
I want to have a nanny to help in raising my children because know I will need help when child is a baby n don't want wife to have to do almost everything a nanny would be a great help when child is a baby n toddler...
I also want a nanny that knows a few different languages so she can start my children to learn a few different languages at that early part of life where their brain can soak up those languages better(I hope/think/believe) n have an head start at school; Oh, since I am not good at reading(I will try harder with my kids) I want a nanny that can read to them some of the classics books also help with my children's studies that are beyond my reading levels(Dickens, Shakespeare, Poe n etc...) also thinking if staff is have different language they might also help my children learn that language as well...
I want my children to learn as much as they can before they go to school n have a wider knowledge base then I did so they can have more choices of what they want to do... Even want my children to learn the basics of car maintenance n basic repair so they are not total clueless when a car breaks down(this goes for both sexes of my children) want girl n boy to fell at ease when hands get covered in grease n dirt n sweat...
Oh, big thing I want them to learn as much as possible but want them know that their teachers/schools may have a line of teaching that might not be the whole story n that I want them to realize that n research stuff not just at school but other areas like library n maybe even the Internet but the internet isn't always the best place to get the correct info because anyone can write a website saying the Moon is made of Cheese n mice want to hijack a spaceship to go to Mon to have a feast on the Moon... When my children go to school that might only be taught one side of a belief (say like: evolution vs. creation - my view even offers another side) so want my children to know there are other parts of stories/history/life n when they get older n learn more they can decide if they need more info like going to college n starting a whole level of learning n thinking...
I hope over all my children learn to respect everyone no matter faith, sex, sexual preferences, skin shades, abilities n defend others, themselves, n do no harm to children or their partner n Do Not allow harm to children n to themselves; teach n believe in Love to all!!! Oh!, don't blindly trust everyone I hope to teach them respect should be freely given but Trusting others takes time n rely on their guts when trust is a factor n not what others/peers say!!!
I might update/change this depending on life path...
