Welcome to the ULC Minister's Network

We are so blessed...

  • Hi,
Had a good day, small group study n breakfast was good n then my visit to the nursing/rehab center/home was also a good time...
I shared scripture John 13: 34-35 the chaplain showed a video of of a guy named Nick who was born without legs or arms n shares his life n challenges n his positive frame of mind n life, I then talked about the many disabled kids/people I met at a camp up in Maine Pine Tree Camp I use to go there as a kid n the challenges others have n they have are so cheerful the camp really helps them enjoy life n knowing such hardships help me deal with my new life after my stroke n being bound to an electric wheelchair n also love my life...
I think more teenagers should volunteer at camps like Pine Tree Camp to get them to realize that life isn't as bad as they think their life is, n like when some people visit other countries where the people barely have a roof over their heads or food... We have the internet, a computer, TV, phones, hospitals, Rx meds, transportation n etc so if your boyfriend/girlfriend broke our hearts kick them out of our hearts n know we are still so blessed to be alive n that there is still a chance to find love with someone that will return that love...
    Take Care for Now, HUGs!!!

Rev. Suzanne Ranu I agree that most people young and old should volunteer to help at the camps. Yes it would be a real eye opener to realize that their world is not so bad after all. I have done volunteer work and it was well worth it.
