Spiritual ways can vary widely, and are based on the differing histories and beliefs of individual tribes, clans and bands. Spirituality is learned early on in childhood. There are many persons from various parts of the world that may not be involved in organized religion, but are very spiritual none the less in some cases even more so. Spirituality is in the relationships we have with the land, the animal’s each other and ourselves.
With spirituality " church" is not necessarily held in any building, on a scheduled time "church " is every, every day at any time. "Church” or spirituality comes in many forms of ministering. Simply going for a walk and giving a stranger a smile, makes them feel good in their soul and mind, and they smile back. Stopping to take time to look at the intricate structure of a blade of grass knowing that no mere man made this amazing little life form. That is spirituality that is "church"
You can be alone and have spiritual experience or you can be with others.
Going for a ride on one’s horse feeling the love, the trust, the power the joy and the freedom realizing this amazing beast in not made by man, but by God. Going for a walk in the forest, finding a place to sit quietly and just listen with your inner ear, your soul. You can feel God is in nature.
Taking a book for self-edification or rejuvenation to go read in the park ministers to the soul. This is spirituality.
Sitting on the beach clearing your mind of all people and troubles, watching the waves, smelling the ocean, listening to just the sounds of the waves and the calls of the birds is a very spiritual experience.
Spirituality teaches God is in our hearts and souls, in the sky, the clouds, the plants and the trees, all animals great and small.
Bottom line faith comes in many forms and is deferent for everyone, spirituality comes in many forms and we each experience it in different ways and there is also many organized religions, No one form of practice or belief is better than the other, there is no right or wrong way, only different ways we are all the same and we are all intricately connected to each other, the earth and the universe.
Spirituality includes a strong reverence for animal life, the environment, and each other.
It is in the compassion we show for others, it is in our charitable ways, it is in the empathy we have for others it is in the patience we have for others it is in remaining quiet and just listening to others on deeper levels bonding; with another human can be a very spiritual experience if your mind, heart and soul is opening up to unconditional forms of love.
All of which were taught to me by my father at the age of 5 and I do my best each and every day to be an example of a spiritual person. Some call this Lifestyle Evangelism
