Seraphim/Seraph
I. BIBLE***
Isaiah 6:23 Seraphim stood over him. Each one had six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two covered their feet, and with two they were flying. They called out to one another "Holy Holy Holy is Yahweh who commands armies. The whole earth is full of his splindor."
II. OTHER***
1Enoch: Gabriel, one of the sacred angels, who presides over the seraphim, over paradise, and over the cherubim.
The Seraphim, the Cherubim, and Ophanin surround it. These are those who never sleep but guard his splendid throne.
2Enoch: The Cherubim and Seraphim stand about the throne, and the six-winged and many-eyed ones do not leave. They stand in the Lord's precense doing what he wants, and they cover his whole throne, singing softly in the Lord's precense "Sacred Sacred Sacred Lord Ruler of Sabaoth, the heavens and earth are full of your splindor."
3Enoch: As soon as the prince of Merkabah and the flaming Seraphim noticed me, they fixed their eyes upon me.
Immediately, I was seized with trembling and shuddering. I was numbed by the radiance of thier eyes.
There are four Seraphim, corresponding with the four winds of the world.
Each one of them radiates light like the splendor of the Splended Throne, so that not even the Sacred Chayyoth, the honored Ophanin, nor the majestic Cherubim are able to look upon it.
Seraphiel is appointed over the flaming Seraphim.
