Blue Jay~
I saw you today.
Your colors bold and beautiful,
so bright and so blue.
I fear to come too close,
I need every moment to spend with you.
A smile comes across my face,
my heart begins to flutter.
Dad, thanks for coming to see me today,
your love is like no other.
The joyous memories begin to float through my head,
I hear your voice say..
better to feel alive, than almost dead.
As I sit there and look at you,
I find myself drawing nearer,
wanting to keep you, and hold you
please make my vision clearer.
Your wings begin to move and you start to take flight..
Dad, please dont go, help show me the light.
So gracefully you fly, as I watch you dissapear.
I don't know what to say except, thanks for coming here.
My blue jay is gone again
as I sit here left to ponder.
Why did you come again? What is beyond yonder?
A peaceful feeling sweeps across my soul,
I am again reminded, it is not "I" who is in control.
My beautiful, bright, blue jay!
I look forward to seeing you again.
For you have reminded me,
that this is not the end.
