Recently I was out driving with two of my kids when I saw an older lady just struggling to walk up a high hill heavily pulling luggage.
I agonized briefly as to what to do, then turned around and asked her if she needed a ride. I'm blessed with a big van.
It was a blessing to me as we drove her where she needed to go, then waited for her and took her to another place, a couple miles away where she was to catch a bus.
I am so grateful that The Lord put her in my path that day. It lifted me up to get out of my old routine and help another human.
I have to say that The Lord has from time to time asked me to help others and I have ignored it out of embarrassment. How freeing to just comply.
I was the one who was helped that day and I look forward to many more people that need lifting up.
