Angels and Demons is a best selling novel by Dan Brown which served as the basis for a popular movie starring Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard. The story exposes to the general public some cutting edge science as well as a great deal of religious and, depending upon the viewer, perhaps some sacrilegious elements, all of which helps propel forward several long existing nefarious conspiracy theories.
