2 Timothy 1:9-10
He is the one who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not based on our works but on his own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but now made visible through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus. He has broken the power of death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel!
There is a message of hope that invites all to come to Christ. All are invited, and there is no checklist you have to meet to accept Jesus’ invitation. Yet you won’t find yourself accepting the invitation unless God has already started working in your life. Perhaps you do not yet realize it, perhaps you do. This can and does happen in countless ways but rest assured, that He loves you just as you are. We are invited because He first loved us, and His Son Jesus gave His life as a ransom for all who would come to Him. In Christ we encounter a loving God who is willing to step into the breach to have a relationship with His people. It is Jesus who saves, and calls us to a holy calling. His grace reaches all, and His blood covers any amount of sin. Will you accept His invitation?
