Truth never changes, it is the same today as it was yesterday and forever. It fills the universe with God, therefore all Truth is here and now, and all that is true is eternal.
There is no new Truth. Man may gain new ideas of the Truth, and revelation of God must bring new ideas to us, sometimes we need many truth seekers to steer us home, but it does not change or alter one iota of the Eternal Truth.
Truth must contain many thins new to us, and these new things must be among the “many things” that Jesus could not tell his disciples, but promised that the Spirit should reveal them as soon as they could be received.
Then why are you so afraid of a new idea? Why do you hold yourself back from accepting something that has not been “seen” or “heard” before by us? It is said, “Eye hath not seen, ear hath not heard, neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what God hath prepared.”---Cor 2:9 If we refuse to accept new ideas, we have not yet conceived of the things that Truth hath in store for us, we never shall know.
The idea of progress in spiritual understanding is clearly taught in the bible. “Greater works shall he do” (“that believeth on me,” words that apply to all ages young and old.) Paul talks about “milk” for “babes,” and “strong meat” for “full age.” Easy spiritual thoughts for us in immature consciousness, yet strong sustenance for fuller developed thought. “Till we all come * *to the measure of fullness of the stature of Christ.” Eph 4:13 “Therefore leaving the principles (or the first teachings) of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection.” Heb 6:1-2
Truth is never afraid to declare new things. Look at Isaiah 42:9, “New things I do declare”; 43:19 “Behold I will do a new thing”; 62:2 “thou shalt be called by new name,” so why, we cannot enter into Truth until we are ready to accept all these “new” things. Truth is not changing. “New things” are only the eternal things seen by a new light------even by Divine illumination called Spirit.
Awake in Christ Sprit. Amen.
