There are four additional allegories in Genesis 1-2 recording the fall of man, besides that of Adam and Eve. Cain and Abel, Noah and the flood, the tower of Babel that tells how mankind lost awareness of their divine heritage in their functioning apart from God, and of their efforts to reach toward Him.
Mankind should know his limitations with God. So, we have Adam and Eve in the 3rd Chapter of Genesis who disobeyed God and driven from the Garden of Eden. This is prevalent to us today when we see our friends not being so Godly don’t we back away and love them from a distance? We also do not want to fall into that same pattern we keep our guard on to be in the Presence of God at all times. In the garden Adam and Eve were given everything they needed or desired, but God said to them you can eat all you want just don’t eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, “for in the day you eat of it you will surely die.” Gen. 2:17. Look at our own life before we returned back to God. I know for myself (I am all I really know about) that the day I found God I came alive from the dead.
Our consciousness must be in God in order to function like spiritual living beings. People often wonder what the serpent meant and that is the part about our desire and it is different than merely wanting something it is a craving, wanting or got to have it type of desire. It is when we let our desire take over our mind and we use our animal instinct rather than our spiritual instinct.
When you know you are eating something you are not to, is when you do things to others that you know are harmful or not good. You use your animal instinct rather than your Godly instinct to do what you know is wrong and that is the cardinal sin.
Cain means possession and Abel means breath, possession is a quality of consciousness that wants to possess selfishly and Cain work was tilling the soil that implies earthly realm or unheavenlyness. Breath on the other hand is the realm of spirituality that is what Abel represented. Cain killing his brother in anger, jealousy, and his selfishness that part about when we don’t follow spiritual law we reap what we sow. Where we wonder aimlessly in our own confused mess because we lost our spiritual self.
Noah’s instructions to build an Ark along with his family together with two of every living creature to live in this boat until the water receded from the great flood God produced. When we are living in the Presence of God we are constantly seeking His will and what is good and we are consciously aware of His Presence with us. We are in the Ark looking out at those who are not following His will and we are commanded to remain in the Ark until God can bring them all forth that are not yet aware. So, seekers are to remain in the Ark of the Covenant of God that indwelling consciousness of the understanding of One Presence and One Power and by your light of understanding those who want to learn the Spirit of God and His Law of Love with God will they return. The bible mentions the number forty a lot it means it takes a period of time for humankind to realize the abiding presence of God.
The Tower of Babel represents that human greed for material things and mankind cannot pay his way to heaven not build material things high enough to get there since it is an indwelling soul experience that each individual has to take in order to reach the Godly realm. You can’t build Jacob’s ladder to heaven it is impossible to connect heaven and earth materially.
The Lord (the Law) confused the speech of the people and they scattered and that is the way it is today too. (Gen 11:9) Earthly with animal instinct type people cannot understand those who do not achieve or practice the Presence of God. When you serve yourself you get confused you speak in a different tongue.
I am so grateful that I have the Spirit of God with me at all times. I am His Health, Understanding, Knowledge, Wisdom, Kindness, Joy, and above all else I am His Love. Awake in Christ Spirit. Amen.
