Tabernacles - Day 2
You shall observe the Feast of Tabernacles seven days after you have gathered in your threshing floor and your winepress.
- Deuteronomy 16:13
God has longed to dwell with His people since He placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The Creator longs to abide in and with His creation.
To abide means to live with, to come alive or to take up residence. When God, by the power of His Holy Spirit, takes up residence within you, He fills every part of your being: your mind, thoughts, and emotions. His indwelling presence influences your way of life.
We exist to bring glory and honor to God. We are to always bear fruit, always preach the Gospel and always lead the lost to salvation in Jesus Christ. When you abide in Jesus, you have a continual revelation of Him. When you remain in Jesus, the True Vine and His words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it shall be done for you (John 15:7). By this, God will be glorified (John 15:8).
Abide in me, Holy Spirit, and affect my daily life, that Almighty God will be glorified each day.
