  Dear Father God,

   

  Thank You for showing me how to live in The Bible...

   

  Apply your heart to instruction

  and your ears to words of knowledge

  Proverbs 23:12

   

  I’m trying to examine myself in light of that Scripture.

   

  Please help me to receive Your instructions and apply them to my heart.

   

  Please help me to hear Your words of knowledge for me as I read my Bible, as I pray and as I listen to other Christians.

   

  I pray that I will always hear You, receive our instructions and have the right attitude and the right motives for all that I do.

   

  I pray that whatever service I give to You, that it will be out of love and as a result of my devotion to You.

   

  In Jesus’ name, I pray.
