Dear Father God,
You are a merciful God.
As I go through my days, I see many acts of kindness and love, such as a mother smiling as she looks at the little baby in her arms or a coworker taking the time to encourage someone at work.
In these moments I am reminded of Your goodness.
But I am also a witness to injustice in my life and Injustice that fills the world.
I pray now as Jesus taught...
…your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven…
Matthew 6:10
This is my prayer for my home, my community and for the world.
Lord, we need more of You and Your Kingdom today.
And, we look forward to the day when...
There will be no more death
or mourning
or crying
or pain…
Revelation 21:4
But until that day, please send Your Holy Spirit to bring more justice, hope, grace, mercy, and love to this world through me and the people of Your Kingdom.
