In Acts 17, it’s recorded that Paul speaks to the people of Berea. It’s then recorded that the Bereans searched the Scriptures daily to see if the things Paul said were indeed true. The Greek word, translated as “searched,” can also mean “asked,” “questioned,” or “inquired of.” In other words, it can be taken not only as if they searched through the Word, but as if they asked and questioned the Word as well. We should be more like the Bereans, not only in that we check everything out with the Word, but that we learn what it means to “ask” the Word, to be engaged in a dynamic relationship with the Word knowing that the Word of God is alive. Learn what it is to be engaged in a living conversation with the Word, where you bring every question, problem, and need you have to the Word and you let the Word answer your every question, problem, and need. For the Word of God is from the mouth and heart of God. Go ahead and ask— the Word will speak.
From Message #1235 - The Bereans
TODAY'S MISSION - Today, take whatever question or problem you have to the Word and let the Word answer.
