The Holy Spirit of Promise
is the down payment on our inheritance
until God redeems us at the rapture
as the possession, He has purchased.
The Holy Spirit is the Down Payment that guarantees you will one day be redeemed from corruption. So, don’t give up and don’t get discouraged. Every time you feel the Holy Spirit working in your life, realize you aren’t forgotten. Your spiritual happiness is only a foretaste of the joy to come. That’s a promise of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, I know I am Your child because You work in my life in so many ways. You enlighten me, You guide me, You give me spiritual gifts, and You give me assurance. Thank You for these down payments, which guarantee greater future blessings to me.
The Holy Spirit is the Down Payment of what you will experience once you get to Heaven. Right now you get satisfaction from eating the Bread of life and drinking the Water of life. Think of the unimaginable happiness you’ll experience in Heaven. Your future experiences in Heaven will be as real as your present experiences on this earth. The Holy Spirit is the earnest money that guarantees a future delivery on what God has promised. If you ever doubt the realities of Heaven, just look within your heart to the work of the Holy Spirit. He will do for you in the future (when you get to Heaven) what He has done for you in the past.
Lord, help me look beyond the mundane issues of this life to see the spiritual realities You have for me. Lord, help me to live confidently because You are my Guarantee for blessings to come. Amen.
