Palm Sunday is Jewish! - A Hebrew holy day foretold by the prophet Zechariah who wrote: "Rejoice greatly O daughter of Zion. Shout O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your King comes to you... he is humble and riding on a donkey." What does that mean? It means that we, as human beings, actually have a part in fulfilling prophecy. Part of the prophecy is a command to be followed. "Rejoice greatly... shout!" This is the only proper response to Messiah's coming. So if Messiah has come into your life, the only proper response is joy - such great joy that you almost have to shout about it. What's the evidence of the Messiah coming into your life? That you live a life of joy. And notice two keys from the prophecy: Rejoice is a verb and a command. It's something you choose to do. And Behold - Take your eyes off everything else and truly behold Him. When you see who He really is and how blessed you are - you'll rejoice. Rejoice greatly for your King has come and you too must fulfill prophecy.
