Jesus: Him Who Is and Who Was and Who Is to Come

Jesus is the One called Him Who Is. He is alive, and because He lives, you can enjoy His life. Are you afraid of something that might happen today? Don’t look at your problems; look to Jesus. Jesus lives in the present tense; He is called Him Who Is. He can take care of you today because, while He knows the past and the future, He also knows today. Jesus also lives in the past tense; He is called Him Who Was. The past is the same to Jesus as the present. He knows what you did in the past; but remember, “the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). If He can cleanse the past, why can’t you forget it?
Lord, I face my guilt from my past. I did some things I’d like to forget. Come forgive me, cleanse me and help me forget.
Jesus is also called He Who Is to Come. He lives in the future. Jesus knows what will happen tomorrow and every day thereafter because He is eternal. You don’t need to know the future; all you need to know is Him. Jesus is He Who Is to Come. He will be with you when you walk through the dark valley of the shadow of death. But perhaps you’ll be part of that generation that will not die. Perhaps you’ll meet Jesus in the Rapture. There you’ll meet He Who Is to Come.
Lord, help me look beyond my small world. Lord, help me see You who are, who was and who is to come. Amen.
Jesus knows your past, your present and your future.
