Psalm 58:4 says, "They have venom like the venom of a serpent, like a cobra." Venom is injected through the snake's teeth. Once inside, it destroys the victims by hemorrhaging the blood vessels. The poison kills the prey. All the serpent needs is one good bite, and the venom does its work. The Bible says the enemy is a serpent - one that has fangs and venom. The enemy works by seeking to bite and inject a lie into your heart. He's the father of lies: God doesn't love you; your life has no purpose; you have to live in sin, fear, depression and gloom; and you can't get close to God. His goal is to get lies into your system through wounds and hurt, tearing you apart emotionally and spiritually. You need to do something. You might have venom in your system right now, in your heart, maybe for years, crippling you. Face it, confess it, deal with it, and renounce it. Get it out of your system, heart, soul, and life. Get that venom out and the Lord will give you healing and wholeness. It's not an option. You have to get the venom out!

Is there a place in your life or soul where you've been bitten, wounded, defiled by the enemy. Take that area, and apply the antidote, the grace, and love of God, to wash it away.
