Rabbis don't talk about the virgin birth in the synagogue. Most Jewish people are raised believing that the virgin birth is totally un-Jewish. Hidden in the writings of the Rabbis is an amazing thing. Rabbi Joden, speaking about the virgin birth, wrote, "Truth.. shall spring out... the nativity of the Messiah is not to be as other creatures in the world, but (He) shall be born without carnal relations; and therefore no one has mentioned his father, as who must be hidden from the knowledge of men till he himself shall come and reveal him." "That the Spirit, by the impulse of a mighty power, shall come forth of the womb, though shut up, that will become a mighty Prince, the King Messiah." Do you realize how incredible this is? It's Jewish to believe in the virgin birth! The virgin birth teaches us that God wills to take impossible situations and bring life. Whatever impossible thing has been in your life... lift it up to God and let His Spirit overshadow it. Then the virgin birth won't just be theology, it'll be your life - as even the Rabbis bear it witness.
From Message #523 - Behold The Maiden
Do you have an impossible situation in your life? Take it to the Lord and believe that with God, nothing is impossible.
