The Trinity: The Lord Will Provide (Jehovah Jireh)
And Abraham called the name of the place,
The-LORD-Will-Provide [Jehovah Jireh];
as it is said to this day,
“In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.”
The Lord is Jehovah Jireh, a name that means “The Lord Will Provide.” The Lord asked Abraham to do the most difficult thing he could have done: to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham was ready to do it, but the Lord stopped him, explaining that He was Jehovah Jireh. The Lord provided a ram for Abraham to sacrifice, and He’ll provide for you when you obey Him, just as the Lord did for Abraham. Jehovah Jireh will provide for you when you step out in obedience, as did Abraham. How can you receive the same blessings as Abraham received? “So it is: All who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received” (Galatians 3:9). Remember, begin every task by asking for His blessings, and complete every task by claiming the promise of His help to provide for you. The secret of spiritual prosperity is the name “Jehovah Jireh.”
Jehovah Jireh, give me spiritual victories, as well as financial blessings, today. Help me overcome my difficulties. Lord, provide for my needs today. Jehovah Jireh, step into my life with Your presence and power.
Claim the power of Jehovah Jireh to help defeat your enemies, as did Joshua, David and Gideon. Just as you must claim blessings, you must also claim victory for your life. He will provide for you when you trust Him completely.
Jehovah Jireh, I surrender to Your leadership and trust Your protection. I claim Your provision and depend on Your presence. Be near me today. Amen.
