When a baby is born, his or her brain contains 100 billion neurons. Then the brain begins forming trillions of neural connections depending on the flood of information going on within it. The end result is that every brain is different having been molded by what we saw, heard, touched, remembered, or imagined. So it's not just a matter of what kind of brain you have, but what you did with it. The Word of God tells us to put on the 'mind of Messiah. Your brain actually changes depending on what you think about. The word for repentance in the New Testament, 'metanoia,' means to "change one's mind." It doesn't matter if you have an impure mind - that can all change. Dwell on what is good - and you will end up with a pure mind. Choose to focus your mind on love, on salvation, on heaven, on God, and you'll end up with a mind that is heavenly, loving, forgiving, and joyful. So you're not happy with your mind? That's okay. Start focusing your thoughts on God and the things which are above. And you know what? You'll actually end up... changing your mind.
