"Christian," is really not a very religious word when it was first used. "Christian" first appeared in Antioch, undoubtedly by people who were not Christian. Its original form, "Khristianoi," was often used to denote a secular movement, a political party, or partisans of a certain person like Caesar. It would be like calling these people members of the "Messiah Party." Such parties, whether good or bad, exist to make a difference. We are of the Messiah Party, an eternal party, yet to make a difference here and now. If you're of Messiah's Party, then you're not on earth to warm a pew, or be comfortable, or be alone in your own little spiritual world. You're here to make a difference, to be the salt of the earth, the light of the world. Are you making a difference, changing your world, your workplace, your family? Anything? You need to. You can't make a difference if you aren't different. Don't conform... transform. Spread the Word, share His love, proclaim the Gospel, be strong. You are here to make a difference, the difference of the "Khristianoi," card-carrying members of the Messiah Party.
From Message #797 - The Messiah Partisans
Today, let it be evident and unmistakable that you represent the "Messiah Party."
